So, How Is America Really Doing?

Quandaries over riots in major cities, gender and LGBTQ+, chaos, tariffs, inflation, antisemitism, Israel, Iran nukes, Ukraine, China–wait, didn’t we vote in November to fix all this and Make America Great Again? Yet, the evening mainstream news has never been more depressing. But how is America really doing? I believe the short answer is, pretty well, actually. It takes time to undo the damage foisted on our nation from the Obama and Biden administrations. Sandwiched in between them, Trump made some sweeping corrections in his first term. But he was constantly beaten down by hateful Democratic attacks and conspiracies including two senseless impeachments. Now, early in the present administration, many positive things are happening that are being suppressed by the mainstream media. Let’s take a look at what the Trump team is pulling out of that red cap.

Democrats are screaming that Trump caused the present violent riots by illegally abducting and deporting innocent immigrants. They say his calling up the military to help quell the “peaceful” rioting is unconstitutional. Almost all the media are supporting the Democratic disinformation and lies just as they did in the George Floyd riots. Except, this time, Trump is clamping down on the insurrectionists before they spiral completely out of control. Federal law and order action is finally prevailing.

Democrats are decrying the arrest and deportation of illegal immigrants, many of whom are hardened criminals, and demanding the courts stop military involvement. Deportation of illegal immigrants is not only a legal obligation of the federal government, it was a mandate of the overwhelming majority of voters in the last presidential election. Use of the military in this national emergency situation is undeniably warrented and constitutional as an appeals court just declared. The Insurrection Act of 1807 authorizes the use of the military in domestic emergencies as determined by the president. The Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 allows such military involvement only in support of law enforcement through crowd management, equipment, technology, and surveillance. Posse Comitatus is Latin for “Power of the County,” meaning emergency assistance authorized by a government agency. Under these Acts, the military cannot arrest citizens or provide offensive support. The military assists and defends local law enforcement. Therefore, the truth is that the federal government has acted constitutionally in their rightful role and responsibility to protect Americans. And they are doing it swiftly before rioting causes more injury and destruction. That is the positive truth you won’t hear from the Democrats and the media.

The Democrats seem to consider the support and promotion of transgender and LBGTQ+ lifestyles as essential to the survival of the universe. This immoral, unbiblical, and reprehensible behavior is lauded by the Left and supported by “in your face” reporting 24/7 by the mainstream media. Thankfully, this burgeoning trend of support appears to have sharply reversed course after the January 20 inauguration. A Supreme Court finding recently banned transgenders from the military, the NCAA has disallowed biological men to compete in women’s college sports, and Trump’s executive order prevents participation of transgender athletes in all women’s sports. The Trump administration will not be acknowledging June Pride Month in any way, and many corporations are withdrawing their promotions of LGBTQ+ products and services. In short, America’s support for transgender and LGBTQ+ issues is being deemphasized. That is a positive you won’t hear from the Democrats and the media.

Trump’s use of tariffs as an international trade incentive to level the world trade field is aggressively opposed by Democrats as devastating to our economy. They say prices and inflation will skyrocket. Yet, just days after the tariffs were imposed, dozens of national leaders came calling on Trump to negotiate fairer trade conditions. Furthermore, we are now over four months into the Trump tariff increases, and inflation is 2.4%, which is almost at the record low of 2.33%. Consumer prices of just about everything have declined since the tariffs were imposed. But you won’t hear Democrats or the media touting any of these newsworthy stats.

The antisemitism riots all over America and the killing and persecution of Jews have been rampant for months. The Biden and Obama administrations were soft and timid toward Israel’s arch enemy, Iran. Democrats vehemently condemned Trumps rejection of the flawed nuclear negotiations during his first term. Shortly after his last inauguration, Trump gave Iran an ultimation to negotiate a good-faith agreement which they declined. On June 11th, a 60-day deadline for Iran to negotiate the termination of nuclear weapons development expired. On June 12th, Israel attacked Iran’s nuclear development facilities and killed several top Iranian military leaders. The Democrats immediately blamed Trump for potentially causing an all-out regional war and putting Americans at risk. The news media followed the Democrats’ lead. Of course, the Left will never acknowledge the truth that the attack prevented Iran’s annihilation of Israel in a nuclear holocaust and possibly destruction of American forces. All Americans are much safer today with an impotent Iranian government.

The Ukraine and Russia crisis is a world dilemma. How do you deal with a thug dictator like Putin? We know that kowtowing to the Kremlin has never gotten us anywhere in this war. But the Biden administration, which allowed it to happen in the first place, has given into Putin’s schemes since the land-grab war began. It is obvious that only peace through strength will work here. Thankfully, we now have a president who is respected and feared by Putin. It will only be a matter of time until a negotiated settlement will be struck, although preceded by a lot of fireworks. The Democrats will continue to play Chicken Little, convincing many Americans that Trump is starting World War Three. Watch for the Democratic counter punches all over social media and the news media. We must resist the gaslighting while supporting the credible strategy of the Trump administration on this one, too.

As for China, President Xi will continue to rattle his sabre publicly, but privately, he realizes that, on January 20th, the playing field changed. He was no longer dealing with a weak American president. The Democrats, supported by the media, will cry wolf constantly, scaring Americans into thinking China is overtaking the U.S. in everything. It is important that Americans maintain a patriotic confidence in our great nation in these times. We must support our president and our military. Trump and Xi have a mutual respect for each other that creates a unique connection. China will stand at the red line and beat its chest, but it won’t cross that line as long as Trump is in office, and we don’t blink.

So, how is America really doing? Before last November, our future was dismal. Woke, meek, and leaderless, we were destined for irrelevance unless provedentially rescued. The election and the first six months of the Trump administration has been God’s intervention of grace and mercy to give our nation another chance to get it right. Although it may look depressingly dark, when you seek truth and look past the Democrats and the news media, your day will brighten. After years of decline, it appears we are doing better despite the naysayers.

How We Lost Our World Status in One Presidential Term

Half the American population knew that, when Biden was elected president in November 2020, we were in for troubled times in our nation. But I doubt hardly anyone could have imagined how far we have fallen since the January 2021 inauguration. We have the weakest president and vice president since the 19th century. The two latest examples of this do-nothing duo are their responses to Iran’s second ballistic missile attack on Israel and the port workers’ strike this week.

Beginning the day he took the oath of office, Biden signed over 60 executive orders in the first 100 days, overturning Trump’s policies that had brought great success, prosperity, and protection to our country. Later that year, Biden ordered the abrupt and bungled withdrawal from Afghanistan disregarding the counter advice from his military leaders. Thirteen American soldiers were killed, and the Taliban immediately took over the abandoned country while our allies rolled their eyes in disbelief. Then, sensing our weakness and incompetence in Afghanistan, Putin invaded Ukraine with no fear of our retribution.

At the beginning of 2023, a spy balloon determined to be from China was allowed to fly over our entire country without challenge for eight days until its mission was complete. Despite innumerable demands to shoot down the intelligence gathering craft, Biden, fearing China, failed to destroy it until it was well off the east coast. On October 7 of last year, Hamas brutally attacked thousands of concert attendees, massacred over 1200 innocent Israelis, and took 240 hostages. Israel’s year-long retaliation strikes against Hamas’s strongholds have been met with repeated warnings from Biden and Harris to avoid any collateral damage and to cease fire.

Iranian-backed Houthis from Yemen entered the fray with continuous missile attacks on commercial shipping in the Red Sea, on Israel, and on American military bases in the area. The Biden response, other than a few insignificant counter attacks, has been to send hollow warnings to the terrorists.

After Hezbollah rained scores of rockets on northern Israel, Israel took out several Hezbollah and Iranian top leaders. This drew two ballistic missile attacks from Iran totaling about 300 missiles. Biden, instead of encouraging Israel, repeatedly called for Israel’s restraint. Currently, Israel is readying itself for a major retaliatory strike on Iran, perhaps including its nuclear weapons development. The Biden administration is ramping up its pressure on Israel to not escalate the war and to keep any retaliation “proportional.” The U.S. has given no hint of significant military support of our most faithful ally in the Middle East.

After two attempts to assassinate Trump, the FBI has arrested Iranian terrorists in the US with the objective of killing top political leaders. More recently, federal authorities discovered hackers with Iranian ties have gained access to Trumps private campaign emails. Iran’s known involvement in attempted assassinations and election interference is justification for a serious military response. Yet, the Biden-Harris administration has done little more than make meek comments of disapproval.

These are just a few examples of the embarrassingly timid leadership of our president and vice president. They are a threat to our national security. Our Middle Eastern enemy nations only respond to power and are emboldened by the weakness of their adversaries. American deterrence of enemy activity no longer exists. The present administration is the polar opposite of the former Trump administration regarding international relations and national security. There were no new wars or even credible threats of wars during the Trump years. All nations respected the powerful influence and the will to use military action that was characteristic of President Trump.

Kamala Harris has the same spineless leadership character as her mentor, Joe Biden. But her experience in international affairs and world crises is zero. With her at the helm of our nation, we would be extremely vulnerable. She is totally unqualified for the job of leading the free world. From a national defense perspective, she would be the weakest president in our history during this time of peak threats to our nation.

Unlike most former vice presidents, Harris had only one recognized project in her entire term–to work the illegal immigration problem. She was a complete failure. She has absolutely nothing to show for her time as VP. Friendly nations are dumbfounded by our inability to control our borders. Enemy nations see it as further confirmation of our declining fortitude.

In addition to our milk toast approach to the Middle East crisis, Biden and Harris have been silent in the port workers’ strike that will further degrade our economy by billions of dollars a day. Biden and Harris are paranoid about getting crossways with the labor unions . Meanwhile, Americans continue to suffer from the Administration’s inflationary economy and product shortages.

There is no doubt in my mind that, if Trump had been president during this term, there would have been no Afghanistan troop deaths or Taliban takeover, no Ukraine invasion, no Hamas massacre, no Hezbollah attack, and no attacks from Iran and her proxies. Instead of the world being upside-down and on fire, there would be global peace. Trump would have also implemented a cooling off period for the port workers’ union. Inflation would be under control, and our borders would be secure. If Trump is elected president, he will immediately gather our allies’ support to once and for all render Iran impotent and rid the world of the radical nation’s nuclear program. Peace will come to the Middle East…if it’s not too late by then.

There is no place in American government and culture for a radical socialist, weak, and inexperienced Kamala Harris as president. We might not survive four more years of Biden 2.0 with an unqualified president. The free world deserves better from its leading nation, America. We MUST correct the mistake in November!

America’s Potential Catastrophe from the Middle East Crisis

(Updated from a previous post) For over two centuries, America has been the staunchest ally of Israel and supporter of Jews around the world. For over seven decades, we have supported the fledgling, relatively new nation, often in the face of global opposition. It was largely the influence of the Untied States that secured the UN vote to recognize the nation of Israel in 1949 after their declaration of independence the year prior. Soon afterward, most Palestinians, who were scattered throughout the nation, congregated in what became the West Bank of the Jordan River and the Gaza Strip. The Palestinians eventually claimed those territories as their sovereign land within the new boundaries of Israel. However, the war of 1967, initiated by Arab nations, resulted in Israel’s rightful annexation of those areas for self defense while allowing the Palestinians to remain there. A 1993 agreement brokered by Washington after multiple skirmishes between Israel and the Palestinians established a separate “state” for the Palestinians on the West Bank and the Gaza Strip with the Palestinian Authority acting as a pseudo-governing body.

The Palestinians, still not satisfied with Israel’s existence, continued terrorist attacks, mostly by the militant groups, Hamas and Hezbollah, against the Israelis. In response, Israel rejected the separate state status and began settlements of Jewish families and businesses within the West Bank in the late 1990s. The Biden administration supports the reestablishment of the “two-state solution.” This is a wrongful position for America to pursue. Without control of the West Bank, Israel is indefensible. So far, the Palestinians, particularly Hamas and Hezbollah, have rejected anything short of total expulsion of the Jews from Israel.

First, the world needs to understand that the right of the Jewish people to the land of Israel goes back about 4,000 years according to a divine mandate that overrides any ethnic or political consideration. Around 1800 BC, God began the process of establishing His chosen people through Abraham, promising him a specifically defined region of land (now Israel) in the Middle East. The original boundaries of this “promised land” described in the Bible covered an area even larger than what is now recognized as Israel. Upon bestowing the land on Abraham and his future descendants forever, God included this statement, “I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you, I will curse.”

Jews do not occupy Palestinian land; Palestinians live in the land that has belonged to the Jews for almost four millennia. The Palestinians are not a nation. The history of many of them traces back to the Philistines of the Old Testament who were constant enemies of the Israelites. Other Palestinians are a hodgepodge of people from various Arab nations who have migrated over time to the land forcefully vacated by the Jews. Palestinians have never been recognized officially as a nation and have never had a legitimate government. There is no doubt that Israel has rightful claim to the territory within its borders and even more according to God’s promise. Therefore, since the Palestinians refuse to coexist peacefully within Israel, but rather repeatedly attack their host nation, Israel has every right to defend itself against their militant arm, Hamas. Israel’s defensive action is especially justified after the October savage attack by Hamas. They are right in pursuing final expulsion of Hamas from their land.

Iran’s horrendous and unprecedented attack on Israel with over 300 weapons cannot be considered reasonable retaliation for Israel’s precision strike on Iran’s three commanders in Syria. The attack by Iran was essentially a declaration of war on Israel by that nation. Yet, we now have an official warning from the White House that America will not condone any military response from Israel on Iran. Closely coordinated pro-Iranian “protests” by leftists across our nation are closing major bridges and highways endangering the lives of thousands of citizens and degrading our economy. The protesters are shouting, “death to Israel and death to America,” with many burning American flags. These illegal activities are not only placing our country in grave jeopardy, but are also inciting more worldwide anti-Semitic attacks. Our nation’s greatest threat from the Middle East crisis is not from Iran but from the misinformed and misdirected actions of our fellow Americans.

America has been blessed in wonderful and innumerable ways. I believe that one of the main reasons for our blessings is that we have always supported (blessed) Israel according to God’s Word. If we follow certain other nations, and even our internal antagonists, in criticizing this crucial ally, we place ourselves in grave danger. This geopolitical movement goes beyond politics, but it is almost completely led by the Socialist Left. And, it is virtually all under the umbrella of the Democratic Party. A recent Gallop poll indicated that American Democrats favored Palestinians over Israelis, 49% to 38%. The same poll showed Republicans favored Israelis over Palestinians, 78% to 11%.

President Biden and his administration are not the Democrats of the Kennedy and Clinton years. The Party has become radically Socialist, anti-Semitic, anti-Christian, and, in large measure, anti-American. America has been in decline for several years morally, spiritually, economically, militarily, and about every other way of measuring a nation’s status. Now, we are seemingly determined to weaken our bond with Israel and become even less influential on the world stage. As you watch the current crisis play out in the news media, stay centered on the truth. Pray that, through God’s mercy and grace, He will protect and sustain us despite ourselves.

The Little-known Truth About Israel

For over two centuries, America has been the staunchest ally of Jews around the world. For over seven decades, we have supported the fledgling, relatively new nation of Israel, often in the face of global opposition. It was largely the influence of the Untied States that secured the UN vote to recognize the nation of Israel in 1949 after their declaration of independence the year prior. Soon afterward, most Palestinians, who were scattered throughout the nation, congregated in what became the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. The Palestinians eventually claimed those territories as their sovereign land within the new boundaries of Israel. However, the war of 1967, initiated by Arab nations, resulted in Israel’s rightful annexation of those areas while allowing the Palestinians to remain there. A 1993 agreement brokered by Washington after multiple skirmishes between Israel and the Palestinians established a separate “state” for the Palestinians on the West Bank of the Jordan River and the Gaza Strip (see map below) governed by the Palestinian Authority.

The Palestinians, still not satisfied with Israel’s existence, continued terrorist attacks, mostly by the militant groups, Hamas and Hezbollah, against the Israelis. In response, Israel rejected the separate states status and began settlements of Jewish families and businesses within the West Bank in the late 1990s. The reestablishment of the “two-state solution,” allowing the Palestinian Authority to govern the West Bank and Gaza, is supported by the Biden Administration. This is a wrongful position for America to pursue. Without control of the West Bank, Israel is indefensible. The just solution would be for the Palestinians to live peacefully within Israel’s borders recognizing the entire nation of Israel without challenging its sovereignty. Israel would be agreeable to that status. So far, the Palestinians, particularly their militants, Hamas and Hezbollah, have rejected anything short of total expulsion of the Jews.

This recent history cannot be separated from the more ancient history that futher legitimizes Israel’s right to its status as a nation. First, we need to understand that the right of the Jewish people to the land of Israel goes back about 4,000 years according to a divine mandate that overrides any ethnic or political consideration. Around 1800 BC, God began the process of establishing His chosen people through Abraham, promising him a specifically defined region of land in the Middle East (now Israel). The original boundaries of this “promised land” described in the Bible covered an area even larger than what is now recognized as Israel. Upon bestowing the land on Abraham and his future descendants forever, God included this statement, “I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you, I will curse.”

Through the centuries, the Jews have been driven from their land by their enemies multiple times only to return. The last time, they were ousted by Rome in 70 AD not to return as a nation until 1948, a move that had been prophesied in the Bible for centuries. Ezekiel relayed God’s promise, “For I will take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands and bring you into your own land.” Furthermore, through all of Jewish history, a remnant of their people has constantly lived in their God-given land, Israel. Israel is the oldest nation ever to maintain its identity, even when it was sometimes without borders. Therefore, since the Palestinians refuse to coexist peacefully within Israel, but rather repeatedly attack their host nation, Israel has every right to defend itself against this most recent savage attack by Hamas and finally expel this enemy from their land.

America has been blessed in wonderful and innumerable ways. I believe that one of the main reasons for our blessings is that we have always supported (blessed) Israel according to God’s Word. If we follow other nations, and even our internal antagonists, in criticizing this crucial ally, we place ourselves in grave jeopardy. Yet, a recent Gallop poll indicated that American Democrats favored Palestinians over Israelis, 49% to 38%. The same poll showed Republicans favored Israelis over Palestinians, 78% to 11%. These statistics are another factor for voters to consider in 2024.

VULNERABLE NATIONAL TREASURES

On a recent visit to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons National Parks, I was consumed by reminders of America’s blessings of natural riches beyond any other nation in the world. God’s breathtaking creation of majestic mountains, flowing rivers, crystal lakes, towering trees, and endless fields can’t be fully captured in words or even cameras. As one absorbs the awe of such magnificence, the thought of losing the stewardship of this treasure trove to an enemy nation or to an internal socialist transformation is unthinkable but increasingly plausible.

Similar to God’s selective choosing of a people almost 4,000 years ago to receive a beautiful and productive “Promised Land” in which to settle, I believe the land we call America was God’s gift to those He chose to settle here and to their descendants. America’s abundant natural resources, industrial development, democratic government, and stunning sight-seeing attractions from coast to coast are unique and must be preserved at all costs.

Our national treasures and very way of life came close to being lost in World War II and were frightenly threatened in the Cold War. Now, again, everything we hold dear is vulnerable. China and Russia are collaborating to become a combined superpower that could invade or at least hold sway over America. Our own government is proving itself incapable and incompentent of governing and protecting. Morality and family values are at a historical low, leaving us spiritually weak as well.

We need to look no further than the ancient nation of God’s people, Israel, to see the consequences of our own situation. In the 6th and 7th centuries BC, the chosen people who had been blessed beyond measure were defeated because of their ungodliness, overindulgences, and weaknesses. Why America has not already experienced the same eventuality as Israel can only be attributed to God’s patience and mercy.

The sad and frustrating fact is that the gloomy scenario doesn’t have to digress to this destiny. The obvioius solution is for our nation’s people to turn to God. That involves reading and living out the teachings of the Bible, praying for guidance and forgiveness, and becoming active in church which is God’s plan for serving His Kingdom. Then, we must elect godly government leaders who will follow God’s direction for America and reverse our trend toward socialism.
