Manuscript Is Done! Now Join Me for a Special Journey

The Bible-based novel, Daniel: Prophet at the King’s Command, is in publication

I have been waiting for a long time to share some exciting news. I have completed my Bible-based novel about the life of the prophet Daniel. It has been publisher-edited and is currently in the creative design phase. The release is scheduled for March, 2021. Now for the first time in over four years of blogging, I’m going to ask for a big favor from you.

The novel’s full title is, Daniel: Prophet at the King’s Command. I began research and writing on this book about four years ago after being immersed for several months in teaching the Bible book of Daniel in my church. The extensive biblical and secular history research and writing took about three years (I had many other responsibilities and obligations going on during this period). Proposals to literary agents and publishers took a year until Ambassador International publishing house bravely took me on. Ambassador International is a Christian publishing company that releases about 50 books per year.

The novel is the story of the prophet’s miraculous life from innocent Hebrew boy to highest official for the king of pagan Babylonia. The gripping drama of competing loyalties and courage in adversity is intertwined with end-times prophecies impacting us today. It is also a study of leadership and endurance in troubled times like we are experiencing at present.

America Must Fix Its Voting System

Mailed ballots, voting machine failures, software corruption, illegal votes, uncounted votes, long lines, denied oversight, trashed ballots, and delayed vote counting. How can America lead the world in technology and have a third-world voting system? Let’s look at what must change before 2024.

Although Giuliani’s team is not likely to get the presidential election reversed (but it’s getting really interesting), what they are finding should embarrass every American voter–Democrat and Republican. Why are election credibility and confidence at an all time low? Technology has enhanced much of our voting process, but we are still conducting our elections with relatively little change from a century ago. In this day when we can securely order anything we want on our computer or phone and get it in a day or two, why do we drive somewhere, stand in long lines, vote on strange, vulnerable machines, and wait perhaps weeks for questionable results? Hopefully, this is the year that brings all the vulnerabilities and corruption to surface.

No sane person would consider me qualified to resolve this complex problem. But it doesn’t take a genius to see how abysmal our election process is and what seems like the obvious fix. Over 80% of American adults use computers regularly. Probably another 10% can use them successfully if necessary. So, let’s say 90% of registered voters could do all of their voting online. Certainly, hardware and software sophisticated enough to securely and accurately process 150 million votes could be developed.

Congress should appropriate money as soon as possible to contract with prominent hardware and software companies to build a national voting system with sufficient security and redundancy to accommodate local, state, and national elections. This could be developed in highly classified environs like the development of secret weapons and intelligence systems to avoid any potential for compromise by foreign or domestic enemies. After roll-out of the platforms, everyone qualified to vote would have to re-register, and their secure information would be entered into the system. This would purge the rolls and create a fresh start. Then, voters would have to re-register every year thereafter in order to keep the rolls updated. No annual registration, no vote.

Each state would have its own separate access to the system for its local and state elections. The presidential election would continue to be based on each state’s election policies, but would use the technology of the national system. The votes of individual voters would be immediately matched with the the state and national databases to ensure only one ballot per person is counted.

Voters would have one week leading up to election day to vote to allow for sickness, travel, etc. No mail-in or absentee ballots would be necessary, since voting would not be restricted to location. Voters could log on to their voter website any time 24/7 for their personalized ballot. A unique ID and foolproof password would be required for each voter. These would be randomly generated by the system shortly before the voting. They would have to match the system’s record in its database. The system would accept no votes after the state’s election day closing time.

On election night after all votes are in, the system would tally the millions of votes in a matter of minutes for all levels of the election, and results would be known by the entire nation by bedtime on the east coast. Immediate statistical analysis would be available for the media pundits. The analytics would be almost unlimited as to how people voted collectively. All this and not one finger would have to touch ballots. No poll workers would be needed except for a few to assist the computer challenged.

That 10% or so who would need help with their voting could go to a few sparsely manned polls in each community for assistance. They would be helped through the same process that everyone else was using but on a secure touch-screen computer.

Will America do this or something similar? Or will we find ourselves in the same mess in 2024? It’s past time for our country to bring our elections into the 21st century. I plan to “share” this post with my Congressman and Senators and hope you will do the same.

Worst Year in Decades Capped by Worst Election in History

At the end of this devastating year, the majority of Americans have apparently chosen bigger government, higher taxes, creeping socialism, waning economy, more abortion, iniquitous sexuality, weaker military, fewer freedoms, illegal immigration, unchecked lawlessness, and Kamala Harris as the likely future president. I believe most of those Americans ignored those consequences opting rather to demonstrate their displeasure with the president’s personal behavior. Here is my take on this unprecedented election.

First, let’s be real. I doubt that over ten percent of the voters really wanted Biden and Harris as their president and vice president. Hardly any enthusiasm could be detected in their lackluster campaign. Biden voters just hated Trump. Biden seems destined to become president only because he wasn’t Trump. So now, we have sent a message to the world that our great nation is plunging more deeply into socialism and immorality–because most voters hated the president’s personality.

However, in defense of the anti-Trump voters, their views were largely based on deception. They were formed mostly from an overwhelmingly biased news media and social media. American media, with few exceptions, have become a formidable arm of the Democratic Party. Most Americans have been victims of a constant daily diet of media bias, untruths, and censorship. Trump was grilled mercilessly by the mainstream media while Biden got hardly any challenging questions. I never saw one single positive news story on Trump outside of Fox News and Newsmax. Conversely, I never heard one negative report on Biden from the liberal media. The concept of balanced reporting from mainstream media went away years ago. This is a sad commentary on our nation.

Had Trump received even minimal consideration of his accomplishments from the House and the liberal media, he would have won this election handily. Instead, both the House and the biased media attacked him with the fake three-year Russia probe, baseless impeachment, legislative and policy rejection, constant harassment, and misrepresentation of his pandemic leadership. No president could hold up under that level of prejudice.

Then, on top of all of this, the election was an absolute sham. National pre-election-day polls that predicted double digit wins for Biden, ballots mailed out to all registered voters, days or weeks allowed to count the votes, legal observers not allowed to observe, batches of thousands of votes coming in last minute 100% for Biden, Trump votes found in trash cans, and voters accepted with no I.D. All of the irregularities favored Democrats, and all could have been easily avoided. Trump would have clearly won in a fair election. This was NOT a fair election.

I pray we will retain the Senate majority. Otherwise, I believe there would be no hope for our nation. The assumed new president and the House will make major strides in liberalizing and weakening America. But the very worst of their initiatives, the Green New Deal, socialized medical care, new states, and destruction of the electoral process will hopefully not see the light of day. If the Senate counterbalances the House, little will be accomplished for the people, but at least the House and the White House will be limited in their attempts to radicalize the country.

I can’t see what God is doing in the America with which He blessed us. We don’t even deserve His attention now considering what we have done with this greatest of all nations. Maybe He is humbling us to have to depend only on Him. We must embrace Proverbs 3:5-6 at this point: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Will we do that? Lord, please straighten the path of America.
